www.fortissimo.orgThis show is a prime example of just how wrong things can go when you take away seemingly-normal folks' television sets and leave them alone for a few days to amuse themselves with little more than cheap gin and beat-up guitars.
You see that's what happened to the gang at Fortissimo. There used to be a time when they were just a bunch of filthy hippies hanging around at The Philly Folk Fest, but then they got bored and started putting their imagination to work. Just hanging 'round the campfire in rain and the mud wasn't good enough for them anymore.
The next thing you know, they have a kick-ass House Concert Series, a web site, a Philly Folk List Serve, and free web space for Folk Artists. Just about all that's left of the camp site is the ratty, old pair of blue jeans that they fly as a flag.
Clearly, they've gotten completely out of hand.
So, we have a plan to settle their hash, but good. The details are still a little sketchy, but it involves beer, attractive yet uncomfortable shoes, and a lot of singing (in harmony) about tragic death, unrequited love and, in all likelihood, more beer. Come on out and see. Just for good measure, we'll settle your hash too.
