March 10, 2005 Fanmail
There are days when choosing which pair of go-go boots to wear is a painful decision.
And then there are days like this.
It has been close to four wonderful years that this band has been playing music together. As many of you know, we started this venture as friends and over these years we have grown even closer to each other (no, you heathens... not lovers!) Our Friendships are pure — and very important to each of us. C'mon, think about it! 4 women ....one vehicle ....long road trips...if that ain't love, I don't know what is! So, with all that up close and personal time together, we have come to understand a few truths that apply only to us. One is that we like to tell fart jokes; another is that when one of us is in need, all of us are in need. Well, we recently recognized that were in need.
We are NOT disbanding the band. So, don't worry. But, we have agreed to support Jezebel in whatever path she chooses and go on as a trio. This was a Group decision.
The end result is that Fatale (Wendy), Delilah (Courtney) and Lolita (Jen) will continue playing, harmonizing and creating stirs like bikers at a family reunion. And you shouldn't be too surprised to see our little Jezebel happily skulking around at any of the upcoming Full Frontal Folk shows she is still one of US.
As for the whys and wherefores...we are still trying to put all the pieces together. It all started on a full moon night....then there was a bright light, what sounded a lot like a dental drill, and a huge crop circle. The last thing we remember was receiving a phone call from Condoleeza Rice. Now we find we are driven with a compulsion to make tin foil hats to accessorize our new tin foil pasties. (ouch!)
